StudyPoint is proud to celebrate an incredible milestone: 50,000 families served!
Since Rich and Greg founded StudyPoint in 1999, our mission has remained the same: help students build confidence, achieve their academic goals, and unlock new opportunities through personalized educational support.
Every one of those 50,000 families has a story. Together, they represent thousands of tutoring sessions, college admissions journeys, academic breakthroughs, and moments of confidence that have shaped students' futures.
Looking back, it's hard to believe where it all began. In the fall of 1999, StudyPoint founders Rich and Greg welcomed their very first two students from a 300-square-foot office in Woburn, Massachusetts.
As Greg recalls:
"Solvie and Ryan were our first two students ever. Rich was Solvie's tutor and I was Ryan's tutor. Our 'dashboard' in those early years was a whiteboard mounted on the wall of our 300-square-foot office. When we got a lead, we put a tick mark on the board. When we hired a tutor, we did the same. And of course, when we had an enrollment, a tick mark went up. There were only two ticks for enrollments. They were in blue dry-erase ink."
Reflecting on that beginning, Greg shared: "It blows my mind that since Solvie and Ryan signed up all those years ago, we have enrolled 49,998 more families. Wow!"
Those 49,998 families represent far more than a number. They represent students who discovered new confidence, families who found trusted guidance, and educators who helped make meaningful progress one lesson at a time.
While we're proud to celebrate this milestone, it's also a reminder of why StudyPoint exists in the first place: to help students succeed and to give families the support they need throughout their educational journey.
From two blue tick marks on a whiteboard to 50,000 families served, the mission remains the same.
We're grateful to every family who has trusted StudyPoint over the past 26 years, and we're excited for everything still to come.
