Ayusa Community Representatives act as the essential local link between our students, host families and host high schools. It is a flexible, part-time role, best suited to a community-involved, natural networker with a volunteer spirit and a real love for teenagers and cross-cultural education.

Community Representatives facilitate student placements from beginning to end; working with host families, coordinating with high schools and supporting students and families through adjustments and, at times, conflict resolution and behavioral issues.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Expanding the Ayusa brand through grass root marketing and networking.
  • Actively recruiting new host families while maintaining strong relationships with current host families.
  • Conducting host family interviews and facilitating a positive placement experience for host families and students.
  • Welcoming Ayusa students and conducting required orientations and oversight throughout the program.

The Ayusa headquarters office in San Francisco supplies extensive training and support to all their field staff. Community Representatives earn a stipend per placement and incentives.
