Affiliations
Intrax has been working to connect people and cultures since 1980 and is one of the few organizations designated by the U.S. Department of State as a sponsor for work travel, au pair, high school exchange, and internship programs. Intrax also has partnerships and memberships in many international associations.
American Councils
Founded in 1974 as an association for area and language professionals, American Councils has focused its expertise on academic exchange, professional training, distance learning, curriculum and test development, delivery of technical assistance, research, evaluation, and institution building.
WYSE Work Abroad
WYSE Work Abroad is the world’s leading trade association that represents trusted organizations specializing in work abroad and volunteer programs. WYSE Work Abroad members are active in over 40 countries worldwide. With the sub-group WYSE Volunteer & Travel, a group of dedicated sending & receiving organizations is working towards increasing awareness of Volunteer Programs, offering education on practices to organise successful programs and providing members with opportunities to connect to new partners. WYSE Work Abroad is a global not-for-profit organization and sector association of the World Youth Student & Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation.
ACCET – Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training
ACCET was founded in 1974 for the purpose of improving continuing education and training and has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a "reliable authority" as to the quality of education and training provided by the institutions we accredit. In 1998, ACCET became the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified as an ISO 9001:2008-Quality Management System, under the international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization, and continues to hold that unique status.
NAFSA - Association of International Educators
With nearly 10,000 members, NAFSA is the world's largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education. NAFSA and its members believe that international education and exchange—connecting students, scholars, educators, and citizens across borders—is fundamental to: establishing mutual understanding among nations, preparing the next generation with vital cross-cultural and global skills, and creating the conditions for a more peaceful world.
AAIEP – American Association of Intensive English Programs
International students who want to study English in the USA will find a great variety of quality English language programs in the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP). Nearly 300 AAIEP members offer intensive English language programs located in university and college settings or city centers across the USA. The English language programs offered by AAIEP members are of the highest quality since all member programs are accredited by ACCET, CEA, or operate under the governance of regionally accredited colleges or universities. For English in the USA, an AAIEP language program is the way to go.
IAPA – International Au Pair Organisation
The International Au Pair Association (IAPA) is the leading global trade association for organisations active in all aspects of au pair and cultural exchange programmes. All members of the IAPA community must meet firm business and ethical standards and in turn, agree to abide by IAPA's code of conduct, which signifies competence, fair dealing and high integrity.
Alliance for International Educational and Cultural Exchange
The Alliance for International Educational and Cultural Exchange is an association of 76 nongovernmental organizations comprising the international educational and cultural exchange community in the United States. Founded in 1993 after a merger of the International Exchange Association and the Liaison Group for International Educational Exchange, the Alliance serves as the only collective public policy voice of the exchange community. Our mission is to formulate and promote public policies that support the growth and well being of international exchange links between the people of the United States and other nations.
WYSTC – World Youth & Student Travel Conference
The World Youth & Student Travel Conference is the annual event of WYSE Travel Confederation, which is endorsed by the UNWTO and UNESCO. It is the most important trade event of the year for organisations that serve today’s young travellers. Each year, youth, student and educational travel industry professionals gather from around the world at WYSTC to network with fellow decision makers, take advantage of new market opportunities, learn from industry experts and discuss critical government policy issues.
CSIET - Council on Standards for International Educational Travel
The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) is a not-for-profit organization committed to quality international educational travel and exchange for youth at the high school level. The purpose of CSIET is to identify reputable international youth exchange programs, to provide leadership and support to the exchange and educational communities so that youth are provided with meaningful and safe international exchange experiences, and to promote the importance and educational value of international youth exchange.
